The Mustangs (13-6) will now prepare for their outing against Lufkin (Lufkin, TX). The Panthers go into the non-league outing with a 11-11 record. In their last outing, Lufkin was topped by Horn (Mesquite, TX), 61-56, in a non-league outing.
The Eagles now hold a 9-13 record. They play next when they travel to College Park for a 6A Region II District 13 outing on Tuesday, January 2. New Caney will clash with a Cavaliers squad coming off a 72-46 non-league win over Pasadena Memorial (Pasadena, TX). The Cavaliers record now stands at 21-3.
