The New Caney Eagles basketball team scored 67 points and restricted the visiting Willis Wildkats to 60 in the Eagles league victory on Tuesday.

The Eagles now sport a 11-14 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to The Woodlands for a 6A Region II District 13 contest on Friday, January 12. New Caney will battle a Highlanders team coming off a 67-42 league win over Oak Ridge (Conroe, TX). The Highlanders record now stands at 12-10.

The Wildkats (15-9) will now prepare for their contest against Conroe (Conroe, TX). The Tigers come into the 6A Region II District 13 contest with a 14-9 record. In their last contest, Conroe edged Caney Creek (Conroe, TX), 56-44, in a league contest.
