Texas High School Basketball - Giddings overwhelmed by Thorndale
December 28, 2023: Thorndale, TX 76577 The Thorndale Bulldogs basketball team scored 62 points and restricted the visiting Giddings Buffaloes to 22 in the Bulldogs non-league victory on Thursday.
The Bulldogs now sport a 17-3 record. They put it on the line next when they host Granger for a 2A Region IV District 27 contest on Tuesday, January 2. Thorndale will battle a Lions team coming off a 61-50 non-league win over Central Texas Christian (Temple, TX). The Lions record now stands at 8-6.
The Buffaloes (5-12) will now prepare for their contest against Fayetteville (Fayetteville, TX). The Lions come into the non-league contest with a 14-4 record. In their last contest, Fayetteville triumphed over Snook (Snook, TX), 80-51, in a non-league contest.
