Thales Academy Rolesville Knights (Rolesville, NC) backers were pleased Thursday as they saw their basketball squad hold off the host Halifax Academy Vikings (Roanoke Rapids, NC), 73-69 in a non-league bout.

With the victory, Thales Academy Rolesville upgrades its record to 4-8 on the campaign. The Knights travel to Burlington Christian Academy (Burlington, NC) to play the Royals in a non-league bout on Wednesday, January 3. The Royals come into the bout with a record of 10-1. Burlington Christian Academy won 82-58 in their recent non-league bout against Southeast Alamance (Haw River, NC)

Next up, the Vikings play the Rocky Mount Academy Eagles (Rocky Mount, NC) in a NCISAA Carolina Independent bout, on Wednesday, January 3. Halifax Academy will attempt to upgrade on its 2-10 season record. The Eagles come into the bout with a 5-3 record after their 68-53 non-league win over Ridgecroft (Ahoskie, NC).
