Texas High School Basketball - Shoemaker edges Johnson
December 28, 2023: Buda, TX 78610 The Shoemaker Wolves (Killeen, TX) basketball nipped the host Johnson Jaguars (Buda, TX), 66-59 in Thursday's non-league test.
The Wolves (14-5) will now prepare for their test against Killeen (Killeen, TX). The Kangaroos go into the 5A Region III District 22 test with a 3-14 record. In their last test, Killeen got by Kemp (Kemp, TX), 78-55, in a non-league test.
The Jaguars now own a 14-3 record. They put it on the line next when they host Akins for a 6A Region IV District 26 contest on Tuesday, January 2. Johnson will battle a Eagles team coming off a 41-39 non-league win over La Joya (La Joya, TX). The Eagles record now stands at 7-10.
