North Carolina High School Basketball - Laney nudges Panther Creek

Laney Buccaneers (Wilmington, NC) backers were in high spirits Thursday as they witnessed their basketball squad tip the host Panther Creek Catamounts (Cary, NC), 63-59 in a non-league bout.

With the win, Laney upgrades its record to 9-0 on the season. The Buccaneers travel to Holly Springs (Holly Springs, NC) to clash with the Golden Hawks in a non-league bout on Friday, December 29. The Golden Hawks go into the bout with a record of 9-1. Holly Springs won 74-59 in their recent non-league bout against Ashley (Wilmington, NC)

Next up, the Catamounts clash with the New Hanover Wildcats (Wilmington, NC) in a non-league bout, on Friday, December 29. Panther Creek will attempt to upgrade on its 7-3 season record. The Wildcats go into the bout with a 7-0 record after their 51-45 non-league win over Clayton (Clayton, NC).
