North Carolina High School Basketball - New Hanover tops Panther Creek

Fans at Friday's non-league challenge between the New Hanover Wildcats (Wilmington, NC) and the host Panther Creek Catamounts (Cary, NC), saw New Hanover's basketball squad knock off Panther Creek by a tally of 56-44.

With the victory, New Hanover improves its record to 8-0 on the campaign. The Wildcats host Holly Springs (Holly Springs, NC) to play the Golden Hawks in a non-league challenge on Saturday, December 30. The Golden Hawks come into the challenge with a record of 10-1. Holly Springs won 61-51 in their recent non-league challenge against Laney (Wilmington, NC)

Next up, the Catamounts play the Northern Guilford Nighthawks (Greensboro, NC) in a non-league challenge, on Saturday, December 30. Panther Creek will attempt to improve on its 7-4 season record. The Nighthawks come into the challenge with a 8-3 record after their 61-56 non-league loss to Clayton (Clayton, NC).
