California High School Basketball - Morro Bay can't hold off Taft

The Taft Wildcats basketball team scored 78 points and held the visiting Morro Bay Pirates to 77 in the Wildcats non-league triumph on Thursday.

The Wildcats now sport a 8-7 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Santa Maria for a non-league contest on Friday, December 29. Taft will battle a Saints team coming off a 77-65 non-league loss to Valley Christian Academy (Santa Maria, CA). The Saints record now stands at 8-7.

The Pirates (8-7) will now prepare for their contest against Orcutt Academy (Orcutt, CA). The Spartans enter the non-league contest with a 10-5 record. In their last contest, Orcutt Academy nudged Lindsay (Lindsay, CA), 60-50, in a non-league contest.
