The O'Connell Buccaneers (Galveston, TX) basketball nipped the visiting The Covenant Preparatory School Knights (Kingwood, TX), 72-67 in Thursday's non-league test.

The Buccaneers (10-7) will now prepare for their test against Legacy Prep Christian Academy (Magnolia, TX). The Lions go into the non-league test with a 19-2 record. In their last test, Legacy Prep Christian Academy got by Houston Homeschool Athletics (Conroe, TX), 71-61, in a non-league test.

The Knights now own a 6-3 record. They play next when they travel to First Baptist Christian for a non-league test on Friday, December 29. The Covenant Preparatory School will encounter a Warriors squad coming off a 57-50 non-league loss to Nolan Catholic (Fort Worth, TX). The Warriors record now stands at 3-4.
