Overhills Jaguars (Spring Lake, NC) backers were in high spirits Thursday as they witnessed their basketball squad tip the host Union Pines Vikings (Cameron, NC), 50-44 in a non-league bout.

With the win, Overhills upgrades its record to 4-4 on the season. The Jaguars travel to Eastern Randolph (Ramseur, NC) to play the Wildcats in a non-league bout on Friday, December 29. The Wildcats go into the bout with a record of 3-4. Eastern Randolph won 58-56 in their recent non-league bout against Western Harnett (Lillington, NC)

Next up, the Vikings play the Western Harnett Eagles (Lillington, NC) in a non-league bout, on Friday, December 29. Union Pines will attempt to upgrade on its 8-3 season record. The Eagles go into the bout with a 0-10 record after their 58-56 non-league loss to Eastern Randolph (Ramseur, NC).
