Fans at Thursday's non-league challenge between the Waterford Wildcats (Waterford, CA) and the visiting Vanguard College Prep Lions (Modesto, CA), saw Waterford's basketball squad wallop Vanguard College Prep by a tally of 81-56.

With the victory, Waterford improves its record to 7-7 on the campaign. The Wildcats host Delhi (Delhi, CA) to confront the Hawks in a Southern League challenge on Wednesday, January 3. The Hawks come into the challenge with a record of 5-9. Delhi lost 76-32 in their recent non-league challenge against Ripon (Ripon, CA)
