December 28, 2023: Orlando, FL 32805 Downey Christian Patriots (Orlando, FL) backers were pleased Thursday as they saw their basketball squad knock off the host Jones Fightin' Tigers (Orlando, FL), 51-34 in a non-league bout.
With the victory, Downey Christian upgrades its record to 5-8 on the campaign. The Patriots travel to North Miami (North Miami, FL) to play the Pioneers in a 5A District 15 bout on Friday, December 29. The Pioneers come into the bout with a record of 4-5. North Miami won 54-25 in their recent non-league bout against Winter Springs (Winter Springs, FL)
Next up, the Fightin' Tigers play the Winter Springs Bears (Winter Springs, FL) in a non-league bout, on Friday, December 29. Jones will attempt to upgrade on its 1-8 season record. The Bears come into the bout with a 1-7 record after their 54-25 non-league loss to North Miami (North Miami, FL).
