The Weslaco Panthers basketball team scored 66 points and held the visiting Edinburg North Cougars to 27 in the Panthers non-league triumph on Thursday.

The Panthers now sport a 17-8 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to La Joya for a non-league contest on Saturday, December 30. Weslaco will battle a Coyotes team coming off a 30-28 non-league win over Hanna (Brownsville, TX). The Coyotes record now stands at 6-21.
