The Tigers now possess a 19-2 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Blooming Grove for a 3A Region III District 18 battle on Tuesday, January 2. Malakoff will battle a Lions team coming off a 41-35 non-league loss to Frost (Frost, TX). The Lions record now stands at 10-9.
The Tigers (8-4) will now prepare for their battle against Whitehouse (Whitehouse, TX). The Wildcats come into the 5A Region II District 15 battle with a 16-6 record. In their last battle, Whitehouse prevailed over Kaufman (Kaufman, TX), 51-37, in a non-league battle.
