The Taft Wildcats (Taft, CA) basketball nipped the visiting Tulare Union The Tribe (Tulare, CA), 30-24 in Thursday's non-league test.

The Wildcats (4-8) will now prepare for their test against Independence (Bakersfield, CA). The Falcons go into the non-league test with a 4-9 record. In their last test, Independence got by Golden Valley (Bakersfield, CA), 50-42, in a non-league test.
