Minnesota High School Basketball - Washburn can't hold off Chaska
December 28, 2024: Minneapolis, MN 55419 Chaska Hawks (Chaska, MN) supporters left the game happy Saturday as they witnessed their basketball squad hold off the host Washburn Millers (Minneapolis, MN), 66-61 in a non-league match.
With the victory, Chaska advances its record to 5-5 on the year. The Hawks host Wayzata (Plymouth, MN) to face the Trojans in a non-league match on Tuesday, January 7. The Trojans enter the match with a record of 8-2.
The Millers now own a 2-5 record. They put it on the line next when they host St. Louis Park for a AAAA Section 6 match on Saturday, January 4. Washburn will face a Orioles squad coming off a 67-53 non-league win over Johnson (St. Paul, MN). The Orioles record now stands at 5-3.
