In Saturday's non-league contest, the host Lewisville Farmers basketball team scored a close 71-65 triumph over the Emerson Mavericks.

The Farmers (5-11) will now prepare for their contest against Hebron (Carrollton, TX). The Hawks go into the 6A Region I District 5 contest with a 9-8 record. In their last contest, Hebron nipped Wakeland (Frisco, TX), 60-52, in a non-league contest.

In their next game, the Mavericks confront the West Mesquite Wranglers (Mesquite, TX) in a non-league contest, on Saturday, December 28. Emerson will attempt to better on its 11-6 season record.
