Texas High School Basketball - West Mesquite defeats Emerson
December 28, 2024: Mesquite, TX 75149 The West Mesquite Wranglers (Mesquite, TX) basketball were winner over the visiting Emerson Mavericks (McKinney, TX), 72-59 in Saturday's non-league bout.
The Wranglers now possess a 14-3 record. They play next when they travel to Seagoville for a 5A Region II District 14 bout on Friday, January 3. West Mesquite will play a Dragons team coming off a 70-61 non-league loss to Trinity Leadership (Cedar Hill, TX). The Dragons record now stands at 12-10.
With the loss, Emerson falls to 11-6 on the campaign. The Mavericks travel to Memorial (Frisco, TX) to play the Warriors in a 5A Region II District 11 bout on Friday, January 3. The Warriors go into the bout with a record of 13-6. Memorial lost 66-61 in their recent non-league bout against Byron Nelson (Trophy Club, TX)
