The Emerson Mavericks basketball squad (McKinney, TX), was crushed 89-54 in Friday's league battle with the visiting Heritage Coyotes (Frisco, TX)

With the victory, Heritage advances its record to 27-4 on the year. The Coyotes host Independence (Frisco, TX) to meet the Knights in a 5A Region II District 11 battle on Tuesday, February 11. The Knights enter the battle with a record of 16-16. Independence lost 39-38 in their recent league battle against Centennial (Frisco, TX)

The Mavericks now own a 15-13 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Frisco for a 5A Region II District 11 battle on Tuesday, February 11. Emerson will meet a Raccoons squad coming off a 54-48 league loss to Liberty (Frisco, TX). The Raccoons record now stands at 7-23.
