Friendswood Mustangs (Friendswood, TX) boosters left the game satisfied Saturday as they witnessed their basketball squad nudge the host Fort Bend Hightower Hurricanes (Missouri City, TX), 77-71 in a non-league match.

With the victory, Friendswood upgrades its record to 19-3 on the year. The Mustangs host Santa Fe (Santa Fe, TX) to face the Indians in a 5A Region III District 20 match on Friday, January 3. The Indians enter the match with a record of 9-12. Santa Fe won 77-51 in their recent non-league match against Milby (Houston, TX)
