Pennsylvania High School Basketball - Greater Johnstown sneaks past Gateway
December 28, 2024: Monroeville, PA 15146 The Greater Johnstown Trojans (Johnstown, PA) basketball edged the host Gateway Gators (Monroeville, PA), 44-39 in Saturday's non-league bout.
The Trojans now possess a 8-0 record. They play next when they travel to Penn Cambria for a Laurel Highlands bout on Thursday, January 2. Greater Johnstown will play a Panthers team coming off a 80-46 non-league loss to Central Cambria (Ebensburg, PA). The Panthers record now stands at 2-3.
With the loss, Gateway falls to 4-4 on the campaign. The Gators travel to Albert Gallatin (Uniontown, PA) to play the Colonials in a WPIAL 5A 1 bout on Friday, January 3. The Colonials go into the bout with a record of 6-2. Albert Gallatin won 63-50 in their recent league bout against McKeesport (McKeesport, PA)
