In Saturday's non-league contest, the host La Porte Slicers basketball team scored a close 55-49 win over the Goshen RedHawks.

The Slicers (7-4) will now prepare for their contest against Lake Central (St. John, IN). The Indians come into the Duneland contest with a 2-5 record.

In their next game, the RedHawks battle the Concord Minutemen (Elkhart, IN) in a Northern Lakes contest, on Thursday, January 9. Goshen will attempt to better on its 5-5 season record.
