Texas High School Basketball - Liberty sneaks past Highland Park
December 28, 2024: Frisco, TX 75035 The Liberty Redhawks (Frisco, TX) basketball edged the visiting Highland Park Scots (Dallas, TX), 44-42 in Saturday's non-league bout.
The Redhawks now possess a 13-8 record. They play next when they host Independence for a 5A Region II District 11 bout on Friday, January 3. Liberty will play a Knights team coming off a 95-23 non-league win over Corsicana (Corsicana, TX). The Knights record now stands at 10-11.
With the loss, Highland Park falls to 13-4 on the campaign. The Scots host Turner (Carrollton, TX) to play the Lions in a 5A Region II District 12 bout on Tuesday, December 31. The Lions go into the bout with a record of 12-4. Turner won 60-57 in their recent non-league bout against Young Men's Leadership Academy (Fort Worth, TX)
