With the victory, Incarnate Word Academy advances its record to 13-10 on the year. The Angels host Sinton (Sinton, TX) to meet the Pirates in a non-league battle on Friday, January 3. The Pirates enter the battle with a record of 2-16. Sinton lost 64-63 in their recent non-league battle against Victoria East (Victoria, TX)

The Vaqueros now own a 13-6 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Santa Gertrudis Academy for a 3A Region IV District 30 battle on Tuesday, December 31.
