In Saturday's non-league contest, the visiting Springtown Porcupines basketball team scored a good 64-54 triumph over the Leadership Prep Lions.

The Porcupines (5-14) will now prepare for their contest against Castleberry (Fort Worth, TX). The Lions go into the 4A Region I District 7 contest with a 5-10 record. In their last contest, Castleberry was topped by Fort Worth THESA (Fort Worth, TX), 50-43, in a non-league contest.

In their next game, the Lions battle the Episcopal School of Dallas Eagles (Dallas, TX) in a non-league contest, on Saturday, January 4. Leadership Prep will attempt to better on its 9-8 season record. The Eagles go into the contest with a 9-12 record after their 69-58 non-league loss to Lake Creek (Montgomery, TX).
