Pamlico County Hurricanes (Bayboro, NC) supporters left the game happy Saturday as they witnessed their basketball squad run past the visiting Spring Creek Gators (Seven Springs, NC), 74-65 in a non-league match.

With the victory, Pamlico County advances its record to 1-7 on the year. The Hurricanes travel to Martin County (Williamston, NC) to face the Gators in a non-league match on Thursday, January 2. The Gators enter the match with a record of 6-2. Martin County won 66-57 in their recent non-league challenge against D.H. Conley (Greenville, NC)

In their next game, the Gators encounter the Rosewood Eagles (Goldsboro, NC) in a non-league challenge, on Friday, January 3. Spring Creek will attempt to improve on its 2-6 season record. The Eagles come into the challenge with a 2-3 record after their 61-55 non-league loss to Wayne Christian (Goldsboro, NC).
