In Saturday's non-league test, the Walnut Grove Wildcats (Prosper, TX) basketball squad trounced the visiting Reedy Lions (Frisco, TX), by a score of 82-60.

Next, the Wildcats clash with the McKinney North Bulldogs (McKinney, TX) in a 5A Region II District 9 test, on Friday, January 3. Walnut Grove will attempt to improve on its 17-7 season record. The Bulldogs come into the test with a 7-9 record after their 41-39 non-league win over Connally (Waco, TX).
