The Sharyland Rattlers basketball squad (Mission, TX), was crushed 64-43 in Saturday's league battle with the host Vela Sabercats (Edinburg, TX)

With the victory, Vela advances its record to 22-4 on the year. The Sabercats travel to Rowe (McAllen, TX) to meet the Warriors in a 5A Region IV District 31 battle on Tuesday, December 31. The Warriors enter the battle with a record of 15-6. Rowe lost 38-30 in their recent league battle against Pioneer (Mission, TX)

The Rattlers now own a 4-14 record. They put it on the line next when they host Pharr-San Juan-Alamo Memorial for a 5A Region IV District 31 battle on Tuesday, December 31. Sharyland will meet a Wolverines squad coming off a 76-40 league loss to McAllen (McAllen, TX). The Wolverines record now stands at 6-11.
