Texas High School Basketball - Chaparral nudges Bowie
December 28, 2024: Killeen, TX 76542 The crowd at Saturday's non-league challenge between the Chaparral Bobcats (Killeen, TX) and the visiting Bowie Bulldogs (Austin, TX), observed Chaparral's basketball team edge Bowie by a score of 63-61.
The Bobcats (15-8) will now prepare for their challenge against University (Waco, TX). The Trojans come into the 5A Region II District 16 challenge with a 4-10 record. In their last challenge, University was tipped by Salado (Salado, TX), 58-43, in a non-league challenge.
In their next game, the Bulldogs encounter the Westlake Chaparrals (Austin, TX) in a 6A Region IV District 26 challenge, on Tuesday, December 31. Bowie will attempt to improve on its 17-7 season record. The Chaparrals come into the challenge with a 17-7 record after their 36-33 non-league loss to North Crowley (Fort Worth, TX).
