Ferndale Yellow Jackets (Johnstown, PA) supporters left the game happy Saturday as they witnessed their basketball squad hold off the host Conemaugh Valley Blue Jays (Johnstown, PA), 48-42 in a non-league match.

With the victory, Ferndale advances its record to 7-2 on the year. The Yellow Jackets travel to Johnstown Christian (Hollsopple, PA) to meet the Bluejays in a non-league match on Monday, January 6. The Bluejays enter the match with a record of 4-0.

The Blue Jays now own a 1-9 record. They put it on the line next when they host United for a Heritage match on Friday, January 3. Conemaugh Valley will meet a Lions squad coming off a 36-32 non-league loss to Conemaugh Township (Davidsville, PA). The Lions record now stands at 4-5.
