The Coventry Oakers basketball squad (Coventry, RI), was nudged 42-41 in Saturday's non-league battle with the visiting Exeter-West Greenwich Scarlet Knights (West Greenwich, RI)

With the victory, Exeter-West Greenwich advances its record to 4-2 on the year. The Scarlet Knights travel to Davies Career & Tech (Lincoln, RI) to meet the Patriots in a Division III battle on Thursday, January 2. The Patriots enter the battle with a record of 1-2.
