The crowd at Saturday's non-league challenge between the St. Bede Bruins (Peru, IL) and the visiting Fieldcrest Knights (Minonk, IL), observed St. Bede's basketball team knock off Fieldcrest by a score of 44-36.

The Bruins (9-6) will now prepare for their challenge against Serena (Serena, IL). The Huskers come into the non-league challenge with a 10-4 record. In their last challenge, Serena prevailed over Orion (Orion, IL), 39-29, in a non-league challenge.

In their next game, the Knights encounter the Midland Timberwolves (Varna, IL) in a non-league challenge, on Friday, January 3. Fieldcrest will attempt to improve on its 9-6 season record.
