Anderson Trojans (Austin, TX) backers were in high spirits Thursday as they witnessed their basketball squad tip the host Killeen Kangaroos (Killeen, TX), 57-55 in a non-league bout.

With the win, Anderson upgrades its record to 7-14 on the season. The Trojans travel to Dripping Springs (Dripping Springs, TX) to play the Tigers in a 6A Region IV District 26 bout on Friday, January 6. The Tigers go into the bout with a record of 8-9.

Next up, the Kangaroos play the Shoemaker Wolves (Killeen, TX) in a 5A Region III District 22 bout, on Tuesday, January 3. Killeen will attempt to upgrade on its 4-13 season record. The Wolves go into the bout with a 5-16 record after their 60-49 non-league loss to Rudder (Bryan, TX).
