The Brantley County Herons basketball team scored 43 points and held the visiting Lanier County Bulldogs to 31 in the Herons non-league triumph on Thursday.

The Herons now sport a 8-4 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Vidalia for a AA Region 3 contest on Tuesday, January 3. Brantley County will meet a Indians team coming off a 41-36 non-league win over Calvary Day (Savannah, GA). The Indians record now stands at 11-2.

The Bulldogs (8-5) will now prepare for their contest against Pierce County (Blackshear, GA). The Bears enter the non-league contest with a 2-7 record. In their last contest, Pierce County was defeated by Wayne County (Jesup, GA), 61-52, in a non-league contest.
