Georgia High School Basketball - Jonesboro tops McEachern
December 29, 2022: Powder Springs, GA 30127 Jonesboro Hurricane (Jonesboro, AR) backers were pleased Thursday as they saw their basketball squad knock off the host McEachern Indians (Powder Springs, GA), 49-36 in a non-league bout.
With the victory, Jonesboro upgrades its record to 12-2 on the campaign. The Hurricane travel to Cabot (Cabot, AR) to play the Panthers in a 6A Central bout on Tuesday, January 3. The Panthers come into the bout with a record of 6-2. Cabot lost 58-53 in their recent non-league bout against Bentonville West (Centerton, AR)
Next up, the Indians play the Hillgrove Hawks (Powder Springs, GA) in a AAAAAAA Region 3 bout, on Tuesday, January 10. McEachern will attempt to upgrade on its 8-6 season record. The Hawks come into the bout with a 7-6 record after their 55-52 non-league loss to Helena (Helena, AL).
