The Neshoba Central Rockets (Philadelphia, MS) basketball knocked off the visiting West Lauderdale Knights (Collinsville, MS), 73-63 in Thursday's non-league test.

The Rockets (15-2) will now prepare for their test against Newton County (Decatur, MS). The Cougars go into the non-league test with a 2-1 record.

The Knights now own a 6-3 record. They play next when they travel to Leake Central for a 4A Region 4 test on Wednesday, January 4. West Lauderdale will encounter a Gators squad coming off a 70-57 non-league loss to Morton (Morton, MS). The Gators record now stands at 3-6.
