In Thursday's non-league outing, the North Gaston Wildcats (Dallas, NC) basketball squad overwhelmed the visiting York Cougars (York, SC), by a count of 66-43.

The Wildcats (2-10) will now prepare for their outing against Ashbrook (Gastonia, NC). The Greenwave go into the 3A Conference 50 outing with a 0-10 record. In their last outing, Ashbrook was crushed by Huss (Gastonia, NC), 60-57, in a non-league outing.

The Cougars now hold a 1-10 record. They play next when they travel to Buford for a non-league match on Tuesday, January 3. York will face a Yellowjackets team coming off a 67-63 non-league win over McBee (McBee, SC). The Yellowjackets record now stands at 4-5.
