California High School Basketball - Ygnacio Valley nudges Sacred Heart Cathedral Preparatory

Ygnacio Valley Wolves (Concord, CA) backers were in high spirits Thursday as they witnessed their basketball squad tip the host Sacred Heart Cathedral Preparatory Fightin' Irish (San Francisco, CA), 65-60 in a non-league bout.

With the win, Ygnacio Valley upgrades its record to 11-1 on the season. The Wolves travel to Dublin (Dublin, CA) to clash with the Gaels in a non-league bout on Friday, January 6. The Gaels go into the bout with a record of 10-5. Dublin won 69-59 in their recent non-league bout against Canyon (Anaheim, CA)

Next up, the Fightin' Irish clash with the Serra Padres (San Mateo, CA) in a West Catholic bout, on Wednesday, January 4. Sacred Heart Cathedral Preparatory will attempt to upgrade on its 6-4 season record. The Padres go into the bout with a 5-3 record after their 73-68 non-league loss to University (San Francisco, CA).
