The Sanderson Spartans basketball team (Raleigh, NC), was nudged 70-68 in Thursday's non-league battle with the visiting Wake Forest Cougars (Wake Forest, NC)

The Cougars now possess a 8-4 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to South Granville for a non-league battle on Friday, December 30. Wake Forest will confront a Vikings team coming off a 67-65 non-league win over Orange (Hillsborough, NC). The Vikings record now stands at 7-2.

The Spartans (10-1) will now prepare for their battle against Athens Drive (Raleigh, NC). The Jaguars come into the 4A Conference 28 battle with a 7-6 record. In their last battle, Athens Drive edged Knightdale (Knightdale, NC), 59-45, in a non-league battle.
