The South Bend Career Academy Trailblazers basketball team scored 43 points and held the visiting Tri-County Cavaliers to 42 in the Trailblazers non-league triumph on Thursday.

The Trailblazers now sport a 3-3 record. They put it on the line next when they host New Buffalo for a non-league contest on Tuesday, January 3. South Bend Career Academy will battle a Bison team coming off a 47-35 league loss to Michigan Lutheran (St. Joseph, MI). The Bison record now stands at 0-4.

The Cavaliers (3-8) will now prepare for their contest against DeMotte Christian (DeMotte, IN). The Knights enter the Midwest contest with a 3-5 record. In their last contest, DeMotte Christian was nudged by Traders Point Christian (Whitestown, IN), 50-28, in a non-league contest.
