Connecticut High School Basketball - Bristol Central nips Gilbert
December 29, 2022: Bristol, CT 06010 Bristol Central Rams (Bristol, CT) backers were pleased Thursday as they saw their basketball squad hold off the visiting Gilbert Yellowjackets (Winsted, CT), 63-60 in a non-league bout.
With the victory, Bristol Central upgrades its record to 4-2 on the campaign. The Rams travel to Plainville (Plainville, CT) to play the Blue Devils in a Central Connecticut - West Colonial bout on Monday, January 2. The Blue Devils come into the bout with a record of 1-5. Plainville lost 34-32 in their recent non-league bout against Sports & Medical Sciences Academy (Hartford, CT)
Next up, the Yellowjackets play the Housatonic-Wamogo Mountaineers (Falls Village, CT) in a non-league bout, on Tuesday, January 3. Gilbert will attempt to upgrade on its 1-2 season record. The Mountaineers come into the bout with a 1-3 record after their 42-37 non-league loss to Wamogo (Litchfield, CT).
