The Covenant Eagles ran past the host Charlottesville Black Knights basketball team by a final score of 47-36 in Thursday's non-league game.

In their next game, the Eagles face the Virginia Episcopal School Bishops (Lynchburg, VA) in a VISAA Blue Ridge game, on Wednesday, January 4. Covenant will attempt to improve on its 6-4 season record. The Bishops come into the battle with a 1-4 record after their 55-43 non-league loss to TPLS Christian Academy (Richmond, VA).

The Black Knights (6-2) will now prepare for their battle against Fluvanna County (Palmyra, VA). The Flying Flucos come into the Jefferson battle with a 6-3 record. In their last battle, Fluvanna County beat Fort Defiance (Fort Defiance, VA), 70-60, in a non-league battle.
