Virginia High School Basketball - Covenant nudges Monticello

In Wednesday's non-league outing, the Covenant Eagles (Charlottesville, VA) basketball squad edged the visiting Monticello Mustangs (Charlottesville, VA), by a count of 44-38.

The Eagles (11-8) will now prepare for their outing against Miller School of Albemarle (Charlottesville, VA). The Mavericks enter the non-league match with a 17-4 record. In their last match, Miller School of Albemarle tipped Eastern Mennonite (Harrisonburg, VA), 80-29, in a non-league match.

With the defeat, Monticello moves to 4-15 on the year. The Mustangs travel to Charlottesville (Charlottesville, VA) to meet the Black Knights in a Jefferson match on Friday, February 3.
