The Fort Frye Cadets (Beverly, OH) basketball nipped the visiting Parkersburg Big Reds (Parkersburg, WV), 45-44 in Thursday's non-league test.

The Cadets (7-2) will now prepare for their test against Belpre (Belpre, OH). The Golden Eagles go into the non-league test with a 1-7 record. In their last test, Belpre was tipped by South Charleston (South Charleston, WV), 53-42, in a non-league test.

The Big Reds now own a 4-4 record. They play next when they travel to Union Local for a non-league test on Friday, December 30. Parkersburg will encounter a Jets squad coming off a 71-26 league win over Barnesville (Barnesville, OH). The Jets record now stands at 10-0.
