North Carolina High School Basketball - Asheville Christian Academy topped by Mount Tabor
December 29, 2023: Winston-Salem, NC 27106 The Mount Tabor Spartans basketball team scored 72 points and restricted the visiting Asheville Christian Academy Lions to 53 in the Spartans non-league victory on Friday.
The Spartans now sport a 7-3 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to East Forsyth for a 4A Central Piedmont contest on Wednesday, January 3. Mount Tabor will battle a Eagles team coming off a 65-53 non-league win over Northwest Guilford (Greensboro, NC). The Eagles record now stands at 3-6.
The Lions (10-5) will now prepare for their contest against Covenant Day (Matthews, NC). The Lions come into the non-league contest with a 10-5 record. In their last contest, Covenant Day prevailed over Oceanside Collegiate Academy (Mt. Pleasant, SC), 62-49, in a non-league contest.
