In Friday's non-league outing, the Catholic-B.R. Bears (Baton Rouge, LA) basketball squad felled the visiting Port Allen Pelicans (Port Allen, LA), by a margin of 61-48.

The Bears (7-5) will now prepare for their outing against Carroll (Monroe, LA). The Bulldogs go into the non-league outing with a 10-5 record. In their last outing, Carroll thwarted Madison (Tallulah, LA), 62-53, in a non-league outing.
