The Bulldogs now sport a 14-4 record. They put it on the line next when they host Waskom for a 3A Region II District 16 battle on Tuesday, January 2. Jefferson will battle a Wildcats team coming off a 55-49 non-league win over Clifton (Clifton, TX). The Wildcats record now stands at 7-14.
The Tigers (1-5) will now prepare for their battle against Pittsburg (Pittsburg, TX). The Pirates come into the non-league battle with a 6-13 record. In their last battle, Pittsburg was routed by Winnsboro (Winnsboro, TX), 51-16, in a non-league battle.
