The Eagles now possess a 15-6 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Alief Taylor for a 6A Region III District 23 battle on Tuesday, January 2. Dawson will confront a Lions team coming off a 48-39 non-league win over Almeta Crawford (Rosharon, TX). The Lions record now stands at 12-7.
The Generals (2-17) will now prepare for their battle against Aldine (Houston, TX). The Mustangs come into the 6A Region II District 14 battle with a 0-17 record. In their last battle, Aldine was overwhelmed by Westbury Christian (Houston, TX), 64-37, in a non-league battle.
