Matanzas Pirates (Palm Coast, FL) backers were pleased Friday as they saw their basketball squad hold off the host Fletcher Senators (Neptune Beach, FL), 70-64 in a non-league bout.

With the victory, Matanzas upgrades its record to 3-8 on the campaign. The Pirates host Cape Coral (Cape Coral, FL) to play the Seahawks in a non-league bout on Thursday, January 4. The Seahawks come into the bout with a record of 9-6. Cape Coral won 75-21 in their recent non-league bout against Bell (Bell, FL)

Next up, the Senators play the Riverside Generals (Jacksonville, FL) in a non-league bout, on Saturday, January 6. Fletcher will attempt to upgrade on its 7-7 season record.
