Texas High School Basketball - Hays holds off La Joya
December 29, 2023: Buda, TX 78610 Fans at Friday's non-league challenge between the Hays Hawks (Buda, TX) and the visiting La Joya Coyotes (La Joya, TX), saw Hays's basketball squad hold off La Joya by a tally of 41-38.
With the victory, Hays improves its record to 9-11 on the campaign. The Hawks travel to Lake Belton (Temple, TX) to confront the Broncos in a non-league challenge on Saturday, December 30. The Broncos come into the challenge with a record of 8-11. Lake Belton won 69-42 in their recent non-league challenge against Northeast Early College (Austin, TX)
Next up, the Coyotes confront the Bryan Vikings (Bryan, TX) in a non-league challenge, on Saturday, December 30. La Joya will attempt to improve on its 11-13 season record. The Vikings come into the challenge with a 11-10 record after their 72-65 non-league loss to Cedar Park (Cedar Park, TX).
